Making weapons sacred again

By Brendan Heard and Iásonas Lupus.

“The one without a sword gets humiliated.” Arab proverb

Civilizational breakdown is a great opportunity to bring back a necessary tribal formalities, those both time-tested and sprouting. And among those various eternal oddities we might happily revive the ultimate cabinet-of-curios valuable: the heroic sacralized weapon. Perfectly symbolic as a token of the duelling rites, the final decision-maker, God’s argument ender, the blood-bringer. The teeth of the beast. Elevated by the sincere religious fealty of the defense of the self, the home, the family, the sacred polis and one’s ancestral customs.

It is the agents of enslavement who wish their citizens docile and unarmed, while bandits of various extraction corrupt and exploit, bleed, rape and mock. Archangel Michael, being the leader of the hierarchy of angels, bears a sword to defend the sacred order from chaos. Thus the sword is holy. When sacred weapons become objects of irony, or quaint artifacts of history, then the inner fire of The Defender is lost, and men become flabby and slavish – often not even aware there was once a sacred fire to defend. Their communities are soon left unprotected, while apathy & corruption ravage their hearths, while the gods of virtue turn away in disgust and pity.

Men who despise weapons are not chivalrous. They are weaklings. They can be easily bought off by the luxuries of evil and corruption, they have no mind to defend anything. Because, like babies, they have been easily cajoled into believing the world is a hug-party. They are left then exposed to those forces which would feast upon their soft self-duplicity, of which there is never a shortage, for the world is a feeding ground as surely now as it was a million years ago.

In the mythical tales of classical antiquity it is the gods of divine order who bestow the brave adventurer with sacred weapons from the heavens, which are themselves the very symbols of the virile Vestal protector. The hero is not bestowed with luxuries and comforts. It is luxury and comfort which, if left unchecked, whispers the self-deception with a forked tongue, and too soon begins the irony, the dethronement of the sacred weapon from the government hall. The virility of men becomes a business of Cheshire grins and perpetual cowardice of ‘politicians’, indistinguishable from the salesman.

Holy Tritogeneia, patron goddess of Athens (Athena) bears a shield and spear. She is the goddess of wisdom and war – not the goddess of luxury and cowardice. And this was how the sacred polis was defended.

With the shield and the spear.

The smell of gunpowder is sweeter to me than all the perfumes of Arabia.
– Pope Julius II

The sword is the Aadi Shakti (primal energy), and is the very form of Sri Chandi. One must always worship it. All demi-gods, goddesses, demons, and humans whose fate was kind contemplated upon this.
